This series of ads are bland, unimaginative and for me anyway have never generated even a semi-smile. But nor are they annoying or stupid like a lot of ads, they're just......there. I have no doubt this board could come up with any number of clever, funny ads using Cowher (who plays the "coach" thing pefectly; no problem there) and the whole cable/internet bit. So serious question for any professional advertising/marketing folks out there: is this an intentional marketing strategy to avoid funny or even clever so as not to take away from the product message? With these commercials in such heavy rotation maybe that's the way to go vs. "in your face" humor.
