UNC on lockdown

Bes t I can gather from friends on Facebook, it appears as if they have the suspect cornered in a church near campus.
 
maybe he's planning on claiming religious sanctuary
 
We heard the sirens at our house. We live about a mile away from campus. UNC has had some bad mojo when it comes to on campus/student issues.

Wendell shooting/killing people on F Street back in 95 or so, Eve Carson, Faith Hedgepath, the crazy dude driving his car through the Pit.
 
Wendell Williamson was a law school classmate of mine. I'll never forget that day in 1995 when he shot up Franklin Street. Sadly, it was not much of a surprise to many of us at school.
 
Supposedly the same guy threatened a couple of dudes with a knife @ a pizza joint on Franklin Street Saturday night.

The guy appears to be some kind of brainiac that had a meltdown. he's been involuntarily committed to UNC Hospitals for a Mental Evaluation.

Chapel Hill police took Jesse Alan Kister, 31, into custody. Kister earned a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill, according to his LinkedIn profile. He has worked for various technology companies and last year launched Algorhythmic L3C, a health care informatics consulting firm.
