So we have the 8 automatic qualifiers: Tiger, Dufner, Webb, Phil, Bubba, Bradley, Z. Johnson and Kuchar
Captain's picks: Furyk, DJ, Snedeker, Stricker
vs. the Euro's
Rory, Westwood, Donald, Sergio, McDowell, Poulter, Kaymer, Colsaerts, Lawrie, Molinari, Rose
Should be interesting, the US side has shown consistency of late and have a really nice combination of length (Bubba, DJ, Phil, Tiger), accuracy (Furyk, Johnson, Stricker, Dufner) and some great short games (Webb, Phil, Snedeker). As well as veterans and generally steady players like Kuchar.
Obviously, McIlroy is head and shoulders above the rest. He didn't play particularly great last week and won. Donald has dropped off the map, Kaymer is just awful these days, Lawrie hasn't been on a RC team in a decade. Poulter is always tough as is McDowell and Rose has played well lately. Colsaerts absolutely bombs the ball and Westwood has been inconsistent of late. Sergio has been playing very well and thrives in the RC.
Should be an interesting match up. I have to favor the US, there's only so much that McIlroy can play and the drop off after him is steep.
