no way it's lolla/ACL

coachella, bonnaroo, SXSW would be my american guesses or otherwise maybe sasquatch or something sweet like that

I said Gov's Ball because of the NY connection, but Coachella makes more sense, you're right.

I feel like there would have to be a NYC show at some point. Regardless, I'm going to find a way to go to at least one of the shows. They're tops on my bucket list of bands to see. I just figured it'd be a lot longer before I'd have the chance

Lollapalooza has really struggled to get the great headliners in the past 5-8 years, and ACL has the same management/booking. Tons of overlap between those fests in terms of acts, and they look nearly identical too if you attend both in the same year.

South By Southwest might be a stretch due to its nature.

Governor's Ball does seem possible because of the New York thing.

I also wouldn't rule out something amazing like the first US All Tomorrow's Parties or something sweet like that. Seems like LCD Soundsystem would only do it big/right.

Some of the DFA folks are pretty skeptical about these LCD Soundsystem rumors.

Damn... Yeah, this is crazy. Consequence of Sound reported it. DFA apparently retweeted the report but then took it off their twitter feed. Then the label manager of DFA (who's tweets are private) posted some pretty strong tweets saying it's definitely not happening.

DAFUQ? Don't play with my emotions like this.

This has to be true. I'd pay close to anything under five figures to see them.

Billboard is saying it's definitely happening for what that's worth. I'm not sure I can handle it if this all turns out to be BS. Seems like a strong silent commit. Just gotta keep #vibes

This is amazballz.

Carles interviews Ezra of Vampy Wknd

http://www.thefader.com/2015/10/08/hipster-runoff-ezra-koenig-carles-interview

EZRA KOENIG: Hey Carles, they want us to talk about indie. My first question is: Does it still exist?

CARLES: Indie never existed. What people believe ‘sounds’ like indie still lives on in the fringes of Bandcamps, content farms of yesteryear, and in the hearts of regretful thirtysomethings.

bro maybe but from this position I totally get how the decision was reached.
