“It’s time to stop the stonewalling, redacting, suppression, leaking to the press, and media hysteria surrounding investigations into the 2016 election.
Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation was star-crossed from the start. His friend and successor as FBI director, James Comey, by his own admission prompted the investigation — with the deliberate leaking of classified memos about his conversations with President Donald Trump to the press.

Mueller then unnecessarily stocked his team with what the press called his “dream team” of mostly Democratic partisans. One had defended a Hillary Clinton employee. Another had defended the Clinton Foundation.

Mueller did not at first announce to the press why he had dismissed Trump-hating FBI operatives Lisa Page and Peter Strzok from his investigative team. Instead, he staggered their departures to leave the impression they were routine reassignments.

But Mueller’s greatest problem was his original mandate to discover whether Trump colluded with the Russians in 2016 to tilt the election in his favor.

After 15 months, Mueller has indicted a number of Trump associates, but on charges having nothing to do with Russian collusion. They faced inordinately long prison sentences unless they “flipped” and testified against Trump.

We are left with the impression that Mueller cannot find much to do with his original mandate of unearthing Russian collusion, but he still thinks Trump is guilty of something.

In other words, Mueller has reversed the proper order of jurisprudence.“

1. In appointing Mueller, however, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein gave him broad authority not only to investigate "any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated" with Trump's campaign, but also to examine "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation."

2. The Feb. 14, 2017, memo was one of seven memos that Comey wrote about his encounters with Trump. The Department of Justice last week sent all seven to Congress — four of them contained some level of classified information, but not the one dated Feb. 14, 2017, that was given to Richman. That memo was labeled “unclassified//FOUO.” As explained by the National Archives and Records Administration, FOUO stands for “for official use only,” which is one of several markings used by some federal agencies for documents “requiring a degree of control” but “do not designate classified national security information.”

3. Strzok, a veteran agent who helped lead the FBI's investigations into Hillary Clinton's email use and into potential coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign, briefly worked for Mueller's team. He was reassigned last summer after the text messages were brought to Mueller's attention.

Hammer of Justice is bearing down on the dirty Dems

“It is likely that during the 2016 campaign, officials at the Department of Justice, FBI, CIA, and National Security Agency broke laws to ensure that the outsider Trump lost to Hillary Clinton. FBI and DOJ officials misled the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in order to obtain warrants to surveil Trump associates. National-security officials unmasked the names of those being monitored and likely leaked them to the press with the intent to spread unverified rumors detrimental to the Trump campaign.

A spy on the federal payroll was implanted into the Trump campaign. Hillary Clinton’s campaign team paid for research done by a former British intelligence officer working with Russian sources to compile a dossier on Trump. Clinton hid her investment in Christopher Steele’s dossier by using intermediaries such as the Perkins Coie law firm and Fusion GPS to wipe away her fingerprints.”

Russia, Russia, Russia was always doa and never made any sense except as part of a cover up of mendacious malfeasance by people in high places in the FBI, the intelligence agencies, and the Obama administration. Mueller is now working on conjuring up a case for impeachment with which the dems and their media allies can continue to try to harass and - if possible - destroy Trump, or at least his presidency.

sigh...

"A key area of disagreement between the two parties is the extent of the role that the Steele dossier played in obtaining court-approved surveillance of Page, who joined the Trump campaign in March 2016 as member of its foreign policy team. The dossier is a series of reports on supposed contacts between Russian officials and members of the Trump campaign, and it alleges the Kremlin has compromising information on Trump.

The GOP memo says the FBI and DOJ abused the FISA process by relying heavily on the Steele dossier.

“The ‘dossier’ compiled by Christopher Steele (Steele dossier) on behalf of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Hillary Clinton campaign formed an essential part of the Carter Page FISA application,” according to the GOP memo. It also says that former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe had privately testified before the House intelligence committee in December “that no surveillance warrant would have been sought from the FISC without the Steele dossier information.”

The Democratic memo does not verify any of that, despite what Trump suggests. In fact, the heavily redacted Democratic memo says the DOJ used multiple sources and had probable cause to conduct surveillance.

The Democratic memo says: “The FBI had an independent basis for investigating Page’s motivations and actions during the campaign, transition, and following the inauguration. As DOJ described in detail to the Court, Page had an extensive record as [redacted] prior to joining the Trump campaign. He resided in Moscow from 2004-2007 and pursued business deals with Russia’s state-owned energy company Gazprom. [Redacted.] As early as [redacted], a Russian intelligence officer [redacted] targeted Page for recruitment. Page showed [redacted].”

It also says, “DOJ detailed Page’s past relationships with Russian spies and interaction with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign, [redacted]. DOJ cited multiple sources to support the case for surveilling Page — but made only narrow use of information from Steele’s sources about Page’s specific activities in 2016, chiefly his suspected July 2016 meetings in Moscow with Russian officials. [Redacted.] In fact, the FBI interviewed Page in March 2016 about his contact with Russian intelligence, the very month candidate Donald Trump named him a foreign policy advisor.”

Under the law, the government can conduct surveillance on a U.S. person for 90 days and must produce “new findings” in order to gain an extension. The initial FISA application was approved in October 2016, and three subsequent applications were approved in January, April and June 2017. All four were appointed by Republican presidents, the Democratic memo notes. "

"Based on what has been publicly reported, legal experts say that Halper’s work was most likely part of a legitimate counterintelligence operation targeted at Russia’s election interference campaign and not any kind of political attack on Trump. Barbara McQuade, a former US district attorney, said that the notion that the FBI was fishing for some kind of dirt on Trump is “baseless.”"

So, you are mad that Hillary used a British Intelligence (American Ally) agent but you are OK with Trump using Russian Intelligence (American Adversary) and asked to hack documents from an American Presidential Candidate? Hillary’s misconduct is not a defense of Trump, and no amount of her misconduct can excuse any collusion or collaboration with a nation that is arguably America’s foremost geopolitical foe.

The Democratic memo is a cooked up piece of shit that was so heavily redacted you couldnt make heads or tails of it.

Low rent political theatre that any long time observer takes with a wisp.

Simple solution?

Transparency. Release the document un-redacted. The day is coming when Dems will have to show their hand and then we’ll all see them fold.

Hammer of Justice is Coming

It was the WH redacted the document, for the most part, and if you don't think either of the memos were cooked up to play partisan you are a fool.

Nunes document was, how they say, "inaccurate and a misleading collection of "cherry-picked" details". At least in the Dem memo they countered what you and the GOP memo were claiming as the Steele Dossier as the lone reason to monitor Page. He was being watched for a number of years before the Steele Dossier and to believe the only reason is short sided partisan nonsense.

transparency??? give me Trump's fucking Taxes!!!

Hammer of Justice is coming. Mueller is doing a great job cleaning out the swamp Trump brought with him to Washington and is in the full right of the investigation as designated.

You are right, but for the wrong reasons.

The Democrats are on the ropes.

No policy only smear.

Justice is closing in on this band of miscreants.

Hard times for Dems as they prepare to come face to face with something they rarely get close to..the Truth of their own Criminal dealings are being brought into the light

Yeah, there have been several indictments, several guilty pleas, and a conviction of Donald associates but this is still a nothing burger.

The same narrative from the Donald defenders is tiresome. Get some new material.

Donald could be convicted in state or federal court on corruption charges and Sailor and Lectro would be on here shouting about how the deep state rigged the jury. There's no amount of evidence or information that can shake the cult.
