Virginia Tech AD Announces His Retirement

I've always liked Weaver. He appropriately dissed Reddick's dad when Mr. Reddick whined about the lack of safety at Cassell, and he was able to keep Beamer from going to UNC.
 
Wake alum Chris Helms (Class of 90) is an associate AD at Va Tech currently.
 
His health has deteriorated pretty significantly in the last few years so I am glad to see he is retiring on his terms. He has done great things for the VT Football program, but in all honesty, paid no attention to basketball (mens or womens) which has upset many fans. Being a "football" school, I understand, but it is a shame that he was unwilling to spend more to make the program more attractive.
 
Hokies , hire Ron Wellman, he'll bring culture back to your program!!!
