Virginia Tech and Three ACC Road Wins

Virginia Tech's three conference wins on the road this year are more conference road wins than Wake has had in the last six years combined.

Virginia Tech has no basketball tradition and inferior basketball facilities. So how did they win three on the road and 8 overall in only the second year under Buzz Williams? The Virginia Tech Athletic Director did due diligence and hired a proven head coach. Pretty simple, if you have a competent Athletic Director. Of course, Mr. Wellman believes we are going in the right direction and he could not be more pleased. What a contrast.

For those of us who were talking how Buzz was doing in year 2 compared to Danny. Well lets just say there is absolutely no comparison.

Danny didn't get it done this year and has withdrawn from the fanbase with his lack of visibility and nothing encouraging to say.

Everyone should get 3 years but if we're not .500 in the conference next year he and RW need to be shown the door. Wake is spending way too much money for these results.

RW should have been shown the door over the Jeff B debacle. Any school that put up with that hiring in the first place, then put up with him not doing anything about it after 2 years with all the base fans I total revolt show that the powers don't care. No other "athletic" Power 5 program save Vandy or NW would have put up this crap at the President's office level and Trustees! When we have a 'side business' where we are spending over $13,000,000 in the first place and give no support from across the street in the first place, ought to have their head examined. Either do it correctly or just get out. We raise money and get these large donors to keep giving for all these super structures, then let RW do what he does...Geez!

I shouldn't be the one to point this out... but, for what it's worth (and it can likely be proven wrong with enough digging), I'm not aware of any ACC school with a more expensive basketball training facility.
