Already took Maryland. Hoping to get a couple more wins in before the rest of the betting world understands the degree to which we've packed it in this season.
12-18 point win for MD tonight. I think a lot of the players know Bz is a dead man walking by now, and so many of them and the coaching staff, have already mailed it in for the rest of the season.

Think we'll get Maryland's best shot tonight. They're coming off two road losses (@UVA and @Duke) and have a home date vs. Syracuse after us. Turgeon, et al. likely know that to have any shot at the NIT they need to win the home gimmes, which unfortunately and obviously, includes Wake Forest.
Kind of hard to say MD is an underachieving team. They have 1-2 "bad" losses, but have pretty much beaten inferior teams and lost to superior teams. We are an inferior team. MD will roll.
Also think Maryland wins purely by the boards. In ACC play, their rebounding margin is +0.5 (7th out of 15); ours is -7.9 (DFL by a wide margin). Don't have numbers to back this up, but I'd further expect that this sort of discrepancy in physicality tends to play up at home, where the home team tends to get away with more contact and receives a little more leeway from the officials.*
* And not like it matters, but Maryland is also vastly superior to us in scoring offense, scoring margin, 3PT %, 3FGs made, and defensive rebounding %.
RJ is the tag accurate? If so, give me a call asap. Nothing gets me more worked up than old man matted gray bush surrounding a thick and dark Jewish Salami.
This is a flat spot for MD. They are coming off their super bowl, MD's only game against Duke, and play the #1 team in the nation this weekend, Cuse. This would be a great situation for any MD opponent with a pulse.
MD has played 3 crappy ACC teams at home this year:
- They beat ND by 8
- They beat Miami by 3
- They beat GT by by 16
They have 4 guys shooting over 35% from 3 and getting 25+ minutes per night. Fully expect to see our "pray they miss open threes" zone in full effect tonight.
