Wake Forest v. Appalachian State Prediction Thread

Upshaw is a beast. Losing Moore will hurt but Upshaw is definitely capable of filling in if true. The two WRs being out is brutal though

Thankfully, we've got two true freshman WR's who have improved quickly. Thomas Hennigan (Greensboro, NW Guilford) is going to be a good one at WR as the years progress. Malik Williams has also stepped up. Terrence Upshaw is a capable RB. He's not Jalin Moore, but he can get the job done. I'm more concerned about the O-line. Our center is a true freshman who has earned his spot; however, having a true freshman at center and a sophomore at LT doesn't make for the most effective left side of the O-line.

WF gets beyond its poor play in 3rd quarter and delivers a 39-17 beat down to end the conversation about a "rivalry" they have no real interest in except for the prospect of doing it again at home in front of 16,000 Appies.

Post game after a few "dismissive" accolades for ASU program, players start talking immediately about a game against some old foe down South.

HOW'S THAT FOR SMACK? :p

It started at -3, right? Don't remember any lines moving 3 points in our favor, especially on the road.

Line opened at -3.5 (had WF played at App in the opener; App would've been favored). Don't remember line ever moving in WF favor as a road favorite (then again, WF has rarely been a road favorite).

Thanks. 2.5 is a huge move in itself.

How often has Wake been a road favorite? I can't think of any conference games beside Duke were in would be common. We were favored in the Kollapse at Kenan.

We win 38-13.
They are slower, physically and mentally.

Anybody know what uniform combo we are wearing tomorrow? Just curious.

Two instances in recent past - - -5 move @ Navy in '09 (technically we opened as a dog in that one) and -3.5 move @ Army in '15. We failed to cover both times.

11 times since '05 based on the closing lines at one book. Six conference games -- four @ Duke, @ NC State '08 and the game Abbate sealed @ UNC in '06
