Definitely going to head to BR to check out the Regionals. Not only because I want to see Wake dominate, but also just to see the sheer logistics of that many teams/individuals and what it looks like.

It's no more people than go off in any decent sized golf tournament. The only thing different is adding up scores for the team.

FYI - Asking for more than 1 ACC title in 20 years is not asking to dominate like the old days.
Well, let’s put this same hoopla to the test of how we look at basketball over the past 14 years. Golf is light years better but I dare say no program can ever get back to what we did in the 70’s with far fewer teams playing and far more in the ACC. (Hard to beat a run of 9 of 10 for any program not named UCLA with Wooden or UConn women with Geno during the same type “hey day”).
But Jerry since 2001 has finished in the Top 10 in the NCAA championships 4 times. They have been ranked #1 twice—2001 & 2017. They won 4 NCAA regionals and yes, just the 1 ACC title in 2022.
What have the two bell cows of football & basketball done comparatively in that time frame?

These are fun and will be working as a spotter a couple of days. I remember years back when Wake hosted out at Salem Glen CC how good the golf was.

Yes, has to be on the East course, the West course is not regional worthy.
East it is. Has hosted several NCAA men’s finals where the men won it in 1986 with Kite, Andrade & Mattiace. And also Gary Hallberg was medalist in 1979 when Ohio Stste took the title.

The 1986 Championship was so much fun. My dad took my brother and me to the Finals. We almost decided to not go since Wake was 16 strokes behind Ok St. But we went anyway and saw one of the greatest comebacks ever. Wake was still trailing by 12 strokes going into the back 9 but came all the way back and won!

That was a blast! We were so far behind we were not even in the same threesomes as Ok St. Our guys started a birdie barrage on the back nine and we were all yelling & screaming and it spooked the Cowboys. Several hit OB on the Par 5 #10 and started their downfall. Believe we went from down 16 to winning by 4.
