Wake Golf 2024 - Women’s NCAA Regionals May 6-8; Men's NCAA Regionals May 13-15

Halfway thru today and we’re -2. So much better than yesterday. Keep playing like this and we’ll make a major move up the leader. Still a long way to go……for us and the other teams.

12 teams ahead of us just getting off in the heat of the day. Winds may be kind
 
Only 3 shots out of 15th right now. If we can end here we will be top 15 at end of day and you gotta think much closer to 8th.

Sports are hard to explain. The Heat couldn’t make a shot the other night and it looked like the series was a wrap. Then, they go on the road last night and win. Shit happens in sports, and especially in golf. The boys had a bad day yesterday. It happens. Playing very well today. Hopefully, they can keep it up the next two days.
 
Man, played very well today…until the last 3 holes.

Counting all 5 scores, the team was +2 over the first 15 holes, and so far is +8 over the last 3.
 
+20 might be top 8 by the end of the day, and we were there with just a 3 holes to play. If we could have just finished +23 or +24 over.
 
Big collapse on the last few holes. Still in contention for DFL.
 
Brennan, Gillam and Power just aren't getting it done. I get it, it happens - just very unfortunate.
 
If we could have kept it in the low 20s, we would be right within a few strokes of 8th at the worst after today we will still be within striking distance, but we blew a great opportunity to get right back in it with that collapse at the end.
 
right now 8th place is 19 over. we could have been right there after today.
 
The Deacons shot even par on the first 17 holes. They were +5 on the eighteenth. There are words that accurately describe a finish like that. Clutch isn't one of them.
 
Will probably be 3 strokes off the top 15 cut line tomorrow. Despite the frustrating finish, another +5 would probably get us above the cut line for a fourth round and a performance to seed. Top 8 is not yet out of the question with two strong rounds.

Tied for the sixth best round of the day. Fitz would have helped big-time yesterday.
 
Another round tomorrow like today and we not only make the cut, but we’re in contention for match play. A lot of golf left to play.
 
Among the top 9 teams right now are the teams ranked 1 through 7. The only lower ranked teams that have snuck in there so far are Ark and Aub, ranked 14 and 17th . Running very true to rankings so far... And we are only 6 shots off that level...
