Wake Golf 2024 - Going Back to Cali for the NCAA Title; Women: May 17-22; Men May 24-29

South Carolina is in some SERIOUS trouble in their regional. Currently in 7th and 3 back of 5th. They are the 2nd ranked team in the country.

Eyeballing elsewhere, everybody in the top ten should advance.
 
#2 South Carolina in trouble at Auburn regional Auburn regional link. Very tough course, even the home team is at +12. SC is in 7th place, 2 strokes out of a tie for 5th. However they are about 3 holes behind the 6 leading teams and on a tough course that could be a disadvantage.
 
4-way tie for 4th currently in that regional, going to be fun to watch it finish!
 
Ooh, big move by SC to leap into 4th. Still a lot of holes to play.

Watched every golfer come thru as I scored on hole #5. (par 4 around a lake) The top teams all had players with good short games & putters. As you got way down the chart, that fell off and saw way more bogies!
 
This was a pass/fail exam. We passed. Wise to play for middle of greens and lay up. The goal was to move on. Not blow it trying to win something that isn't a win anyway. Winning was moving on. We won.

Yep. We snuck in by 21 strokes.
 
Exactly the point. This was no week to be hitting driver off deck and firing for pins in an effort to “win.”

Save that for match play as needed.

These ladies are defending NCAA and ACC champs. Not exactly lacking on ability to finish!
 
WF beat ND by 19 strokes in the stroke play portion of the ACCT. So far, in Austin, ND is beating WF by 16 strokes.

Isn't the better compare not the ACCT differential but how much we underperformed in previous regionals as guessing very similar nose dives as choking is what we do best in men's golf.
 
If we lose to Grand Canyon Jerry should walk home and find the locks changed on the practice center.
