15. Wake Forest
The good news for the Demon Deacons is that, for now, their key guys are coming back. Chaundee Brown and Brandon Childress showed some promise at guard, and Jaylen Hoard is a talented big man who, if he doesn’t pursue a professional career, can build off a solid freshman year. The problem is, Wake ranked last in the ACC in defensive efficiency and second-to-last in offensive efficiency, so it’ll have to get markedly better as a group.
And here, sadly, we find ourselves unable to wager large sums of money on our beloved Deacons, in spite of the progress we know is just ahead as Vegas oddsmakers have neglected to include Wake as one of 79 teams deemed worthy to assign futures odds to:
