As expected Wake did not make the NCAAT. The WNIT bracket comes out in a couple of hours, Wake should certainly be in that.

ACC got it rough with only 4 teams in the tourney

UVA and UNC didnt get bids and are considered snubs

With UNC in NIT Wake will probably have to travel

We were listed as one of the "Next 4 out" on ESPN's bracketology. Not far from the bubble.

We should still be a pretty high seed and play at least a couple of home games.

We were further than that looks

UVA and UNC would have gotten in before us

Real question is how the ACC has only 4 teams in, but all of those teams are 1-3 seeds. How does ACC in that case not get a lower seed or two

Good lord, how in the world did Virginia not get in?

Delaware, a 3 seed, is matched up against the 14 seed, Arkansas-Little Rock, and the game is in Little Rock, Arkansas. Weird move, women's selection committee, consider yourselves lucky no one really cares enough to think about you.

Here is a thought......Duke, Miami, Maryland, GT, UVA, and Wake all won their respective Big 10-ACC Challenge games this year.....but yet Big 10 got 7 teams in and the ACC got 4?

Virginia had 7 top 100 wins, including a win over Tennessee. All of their losses were to tourney teams except for two losses to UNC. That's ridiculous.

I wonder if we passed on hosting. We should be a higher seed than Charlotte.

Wake Forest was unable to bid to host an opening round game due to a previously booked event at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum. All 63 games of the WNIT will take place on the campus of a participating school.

Anyone posting on this thread that isn't currently in school is a real Wake fan

Or a real big homo. Women's bball isn't a sport and is a complete waste of money and resources.

Our women's team puts out a much better product than the men's team right now. They play much harder and much smarter. I wish I had watched them more frequently rather than wasting so much time on the men's team.

Makes you wonder if our Miller Center debacle last year had something to do with that decision

UNC must have turned down an NIT bid, cause surely they would have been invited over State

You'd better bring your best when you're coming to Halton Arena to take on the A-10 power 49'ers!

Let's see:

Men's Soccer: Charlotte 2 Wake 0 (9/13/2010)
Men's Basketball: Charlotte 63 Wake 59 (11/29/2007)
Men's Baseball: Charlotte 13 Wake 10 (11)(3/21/2011)

Women's Basketball: 3/15/2012

No wonder y'all want to fire Wellman. That's a nice little losing streak in the marquee sports that you have to Charlotte. Just wait till Grobe has the courage to schedule Coach Lambert and the boys in green. Just don't try to steal Judy Rose from us. She'll smack you down real quick.
