No. That's a bit simplistic on both ends, don't you think? Collective bargaining will never outlive it usefulness.
The inequities that brought about the rise of labor unions simply do not exist today. Most (not all) union jobs pay more than the job is reasonably worth, which leaves the rest of society paying exorbitant rates for basic goods and services. The worst part is that so many unions have become bigger than the workers they represent and have morphed into bastions of corruption. The union boss comparing Christie to Hitler probably makes double what Christie makes as governor if not more, and it's all from "dues" off the backs of the workers he's supposed to be representing.
