What is this LOWF that everyone is talking about? As someone considering firing up a Wake blog, I'd be curious to know.

OTP, serious question, what do you see as Lembo's biggest weakness?

My concern is that while he is tremendously consistent, his history has a read of "also-ran". At Elon, he could not get over the App St. hump (which if we are making excuses for shortcomings, that is a pretty good one during that time), and he seems to be stymied by NIU in the MAC up to this point. Is it not a little LOWF to make excuses for his inability to win his conference?

Maybe I should just stick to posting articles that offend me, then? Outrageous...

I'll lay off LOWF, but it's just a shame to see so many continue to turn their back on reasonable critiques of the state of our AD, whether it be from Ph or as viewed from the outside.
 
Stands for Little Old Wake Forest. Basically, it's the pervasive idea that Wake can't compete because of its small size. There's more to it than that but it's hard to encapsulate in a brief definition.
It's like porn - you know it when you see it.

Who is turning their back on it? I'm just pointing out that the same things are being said over and over and over again. Just seems dumb to me. You're pretty much preaching to the choir here.

I like what OTP has added because it's coming from a different perspective. Just because of that doesn't mean people can't critique something he says or ask him to elaborate.

I can't speak for Elon because I wasn't affiliated with them. I'd be careful about putting the lack of success against NIU on CPL. Our coach before him was a fucking cocksucker of the highest order when it came to coaching and recruiting. Nice guy. Great offensive mind. Terrible CEO. Took it from 12-0 to 2-10. Pete had to fix some shit. NIU has been the charmed program of the MAC for the last few years. They're our Florida State. But winter is coming.

His weaknesses are more personal style. He empowers his assistants and expects people to fall in place. The admin and support think he can be egocentric at times and a little bristled. I would argue that those types of things are present in almost every winner though.

This isn't me sucking his coaching nuts, this is me being honest: I'd only trade Lembo for someone like Saban.
