I'd watched a good amount of slasher flicks as a kid but The People Under the Stairs really creeped me out.

Read today that he was raised in a hyper religious family and was not allowed to watch any movies as a child. He went to college and saw to kill a mockingbird, figured out his parents were full of shit, and the rest is history.
