6'9 LaRavia started it off. I bet we sign at least 1 guy 6'10+
That would give us Tariq, Ody, LaRavia and a transfer to eat up all the minutes at the 4/5
Or an incoming frosh..

Keep in mind that Swider played in 25 games averaged almost 20 minutes a game, and shot 12 free throws on the season. That is not a misprint. 12. He also only shot 28 two point shots all year (one a game). By way of comparison, Ish Massoud, who doesn't draw many fouls or take the ball to the basket and Ish played roughly the same number of minutes as Swider. Massoud shot 41 free throws and took three times as many twos. Swider is the better 3 point shooter (40% to 34%), but it looks like Swider is even more one dimensional than Massoud.

Feels like a blind stats take. Just watch some of Swider's tape and it's laughable to portray him as more one-dimensional than Massoud. Solid defender (even statistically), more dunks in one game than Massoud's had his entire career, much better handle, far better passer. It's hard to quantify the exact statistical impact a high-ceiling player on a great team serving as a role-player has versus what a hugely flawed player does on a horrible team. Check in on both players in a year or two, they won't be in the same tier.
Isaiah Wilkins is headed to Longwood
Agree that Swider is an upgrade over Massoud. He is a better shooter (which really is the key attribute), and while defense is harder to quantify, Swider has got to be the superior defender. That said, its "laughable" to base the assessment on Swider based on his mix tape and ignore the glaring stats. Swider has several fast-break dunks. Great. He shot TWELVE free throws in 25 games, and at least a couple of those FTs came when Nova was running clock and the opponent had to foul. That's not a blind stats take. Swider's FT and 2 PT field goal numbers scream that this is a player that doesn't like contact and won't drive in traffic. That is fine. If Swider was Jerimiah Robinson-Earl, he wouldn't be in the transfer portal. Simply pointed out what WF would be getting with Swider, a good catch and shoot big, who will also dunk when not contested on a fast-break. WF has a need for him.
