WFU Hoops: '24-'25 Roster Construction Thread: +Spillers/Biliew/Cosby/Johnson/Abass

I mean Baba to FAU isn’t official right? Seems like he’s probably headed there but not a done deal right?

Rumor is the paywall gives you a 3rd option. You can't know until you pay, it's only $1 a month, until it's not. Then its somewhere between 10-100 and no way to cancel without 4 year heads up notice.

There is no "official" commitment for transfers. Nothing gets signed and nothing is binding until the transfer enrolls. Prevailing theory here is that if/when Sallis goes to the NBA, WF will flip someone who has committed elsewhere. As OGB posted earlier today, one of the staffs duties until this Summer starts is ensuing all those transfers that we believe have committed to WF actually enroll.

Explaining all of this feels a bit condescending when the person that asked if it was official was clearly just asking if it was announced by a reputable source (or the player himself) yet. I mean some Spanish reporter "announced" Baba to Wake weeks ago and here we are, so it's a valid question.

When someone asks about a high school commit being official you'd understand that they mean the verbal commit, not actually signing the LOI

Options for Baba would be a two year in a row NCAA team including a Final Four or a two out of three NIT team. Just saying, but until we get there we ain’t got there.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, the last two years are an anomaly for them and their team is in shambles with transfers and decommits. We clearly, at this point, have a better team.

The last two years saved their coach his job, imo (66-56, in 4 years prior).
