I'll start by nominating the wood duck (waterfowl have a special place in my heart for their abilities to walk, swim, and fly). Look at this handsome beast:

What kind of egret and what kind of albatross?

I was thinking the generic white ones (Great Egrets?) that I always see in the low country, and occasionally at golf courses. And I had no clue how many types of albatross there are. They're just cool massive sea birds that also have a pretty nice golf connection.
