Sure he has the stink of admitting he paid players a couple of decades ago lingering, but he should be given credit for admitting it and walking away with integrity. Time to give him another shot -- it's not like he has a lot going on.

I would bring in Pete for 2-3 weeks before the start of the season to access and teach Wake players. Maybe he could bring in Neon, or McRae or Ricky Roe with him to get the players excited. Then, if things go wrong, bring him back in January to correct the problems. Pay him a $100,00 per week or so. Just makes sense.
 
Why not Pete Rose, baseball doesn't want him, so let's see what he can do in college basketball. Might teach our guys to hustle at least.
 
Bring in Pete Guillen. The red rocket's accent would go over great in the piedmont.
