That is a cool story. Glad she has found such a positive outlet to deal with her condition.

Kayla and her family live around the corner from us. She is an amazing person and a true inspiration.

With a 4.7 GPA it's disappointing that she is not staying close to home at WFU! Which recruiter dropped the ball???

My daughter (who is on the left wearing number 6, and who actually won that race, the State 4-A 1600M Indoor championship) has competed against Kayla several times. It is amazing to watch her run, knowing her story. If it weren't for her condition, she would have her pick of colleges. The scuttle among coaches is that no coach wants that liability or wants to have to devote that much time to one athlete during practice, which is both sad but somewhat understandable.
