Joined 53 other fans in snowy W-S at the Joel for the women's one point victory over VaTech. Scrappy bunch that worked hard for the win. Congrats ladies.

Hamby became the 10th player in WF WBB history with 1,000+ points and 600+ rebounds.

Congrats to the Lady Deacs. Is that real attendance numbers or Wellman count?

Official number was 123. Must have counted scorers table and security plus teams and coaches.

Catch me up on HAMby. What is her resume?

Note a ton of avenues for WBB stats, but she still leads the conference in scoring and rebounding. She is having an outstanding JR year, easily one of the best year's we've ever had for an individual player. She could catch Coach Hoover's career scoring record (just over 1,700) if she keeps this pace up. Losing Douglas (currently 5th in the ACC in scoring) next year, no reason to think Hamby won't be counted on for more scoring next year.

Has WF ever had a player drafted by the WNBA?

If not, would think that Hamby could be the first.

Hamby has been amazing. Still think Thomas would be player of the year but Hamby should be first team all ACC which is quite an achievement.

Hamby now has the Wake Forest record for most points and double doubles in a season.

So we have a women's player putting up Duncan numbers and still aren't close to the postseason.

Not sure I would call them Duncan numbers, but she is having a great year while we are struggling as a team. Recruiting is looking good going forward FWIW. Hamby has another year, but Douglas (who has been hurt for a few games) is a Senior.

We were supposed to be terrible this year. 6 wins in the ACC is better than expected.

Should be POY as well. Even when the girl is triple teamed, she still manages 20 points and 10 rebounds.

That's decided (or at least released tomorrow). She definitely has the stats for it. It would be a big honor for the program if se won.
