It still is for Football fans, but the Super Bowl has a massive audience that are watching for the spectacle and commercials. Typically, the halftime act is more about them.

Amen. During the rest of the season an NFL halftime is what 10 to 15 minutes, yet for the biggest game of the year they change it to 30+ minutes for some poorly produced show??? What's even worse is the Ryan Sechrest Red Carpet deal on the Super Bowl pre-game show where he interviews abunch of lame brain celebrities arriving at a game they could care less about and probably don't even know who's playing.
