Z-O-N-E

Bad news on the zone is that we still gave up 17 offensive rebounds to a pretty small team.

Our zone was at it's best with Moore, Donovan/ Sarr and Eggleston out there. The length was great to see.

Will Mucious and Hoard give us two legit 6-8 forwards next year, or are they really 6-6 wings? Can one of them play the 4 position?

Lack of rebounding is really aggravating. Doesn't seem to matter what defense Wake plays. Someone block out their man!

Always give up more offensive rebounds in a zone. Your defenders are ball side and the rebound most often bounces off the rim opposite the shot. Rebounding is the biggest problem with playing a zone. Guards have to rebound and that can be a problem for our smallish guards.

Also, as a group, they do not seem to have the desire to rebound. The old Crawford showed up last night. Let's hope the old Key shows up soon.

Hopefully we'll get to that point where DM is more confident in playing a bigger, less experienced lineup more often. Still trying to figure out what the point is of playing Melo for 1 minute at a time. Is he simply coming in at the end of each half situation-ally to play D and foul?

ZONE ME BRO

Funny how that works...

You just have to if you want to maximize Doral. Otherwise, they are going to make him defend the pick and roll 25 feet from the basket.

Rebounding is an issue, but better than watching is get beat off the dribble all the time and then they pass to a WIDE OPEN 3pt shooter who is ready to shoot.
