my convo with tyler cavanaugh.

Players say what players have to say. Cav's a smart kid and knows to say anything even open to interpretation as criticizing Bz or Ronnie Boy would be the death knoll for his career at Wake Forest (especially considering the fact that both are egotistical maniacs). Plus Cav admitted they've been professionally coached on what to say about the criticism of BzWell. Glad that is out there, and who knows, but one could read into Cav saying that as Cav trying to tip off the fact that he's giving the ol' company line.

To me what the players, assistants, etc. are saying is no different than a political candidate's staff telling the media and supporters they are confident they are going to win the night before the election when they know they have not shot because their internal polling shows them down double digits. Its all about keeping up appearances.

Players aren't good judges of coaches. I mean some legit players with legit competing offers committed to Sidney Lowe.

Players are normally too close to the situation to be objective. The objective facts lie on our side. All your side has, all Cavanaugh's side has, is blind hope that [Redacted] is some Frankenstein combination of Coach K, Dean Smith, and Tom Crean.

I also had a conversation recently with Cav- it went as follows: "You are too tall to be a real person." followed immediately by drunken giggles and a pat on the shoulder.
