Shaka does not want to go to BC. He will either stay at VCU or come to Wake. It would be entirely Wake-esque to have Shaka go to BC though lol.

The only person who BC has any shot at that is a remotely viable candidate for Wake is Amaker. If they don't get him then they're going to end up with somebody bad.

Marquette is out of the Shaka stuff. Wake is certainly in the thick of it. He will either stay at VCU or come to Wake. I think he comes to Wake.

The biggest question is whether this thread or the RJ thread will break the #scoop when SHAKA decides he's coming to Wake.

Wake loses out on Shaka, and then Swofford announces that BC is getting the boot in favor of VCU. Shaka to the ACC is a reality!! #LOWF

We get Shaka and he never puts together any results worth noting.

The VCU juggernaut continues its momentum by hiring Mike White, who leads them to a number of Final Fours.

Ben Howland goes to Marquette and they dominate the Big East and win a national championship.

Jeff [Redacted] gets the USF job... by 2019, he has them in the CBI.
 
Well, that is certainly a promising leak, if true. The more silence the better though on this all important Hump Day. No news is good news it looks like.
 
Last year Pete Thamel tweeted on Tuesday that they were working on a restructured contract. A few stories started leaking out later that night with speculation. The first article I could find that confirmed he was staying is this article which was posted on Wednesday evening.
 
I don't think the money issue comes as a surprise to anyone given the new conference power structure, but it's good to know Wake's leadership is committed to basketball financially.
