BBall Recruiting Thread 2k17-Chaundee Brown commits to WAKE! Brandon Randolph to AZ

Are you saying we will 15-17 games this year and miss both the NCAA and NIT? Doesn't seem like going out on much of a branch. I want us to be better but other teams are getting better as well.

Well, I don't think I've ever been right one single time on these boards, so please take it with a grain of salt. 3 of our recruits for 2016 would be solid, 4 star, top 100 recruits, if they signed with someone other than us. The staffs eye for talent showed with the signing of Collins, Crawford and Moore, and will be much more visible this coming season when a lot of these guys are ACC ready by the end of December.

Love the timing on this.

Monday - Graduation
Tuesday - Heard good things about the freshmen
Wednesday - Dinos added 20 pounds of muscle, perhaps?

Who do you expect to contribute early from the frosh?

Do we necessarily need any of them to contribute that early? Hopefully, these guys have some time to develop behind better players, which we should have at every position next year. Losing Williams may have opened up some minutes for Washington, but I'm not sure if Childress, SJM, and Mitchell will end up seeing that many minutes.

SJM-almost a sure thing. The dude can straight up hoop it from reports(from London). Dick wash- smooth as the creamiest shit you could imagine. B-Chill will be as good, if not better than wilbekin is currently, from day one. I really think Brandon will be a leader and shine bright in the B&G.

Sucks we didn't hold onto Williams from UCF, I bet he has a good season with UCF. Arians and Keyshawn woods cannot be forgotten. Both of those guys have already proven that they can put the ball in the hoop at the D1 level.

That leaves one guy...Don Mitchell. Who the fuck knows? He's a VERY intriguing recruit with the reports of his versatility. RJ you got the scoops on Mitchell?

I hope we aren't pulling up old threads 3-4 years from now and laughing at our predictions. All of the misguided love that the "sensational 7" got comes to mind.

Donovan is about 300 miles from me and in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. I really liked the videos that were on the internet. I also like at the end of recruiting process AZ, MD, UCLA and others were chasing after him. I like 6'9 guys who can handle and take it to the hoop.

I won't be shocked to see him supplant Greg as the first SF off the bench by mid-season.

Wake's real need is for the incoming grad student and transfer to be decent at the two and three spots. All the other positions are reasonably covered with returning players. Decent, expected development from them and return to early last season form of Dinos would give Wake a middle of the ACC team.

None of the freshmen have to play very much. There are experienced players ahead of all of them. If they are good enough to warrant a lot of playing time, Wake will be better than expected.

SJM will, in fact, have to play a lot. Moore and Collins will more than likely continue to have foul issues as sophomores.

We will be so good next season.

I love next season.
I'm telling you, it will be the best season ever. Believe me, it will great. I've heard from many other seasons, you wouldn't believe the seasons I have heard from, and they all think next season is the best. The best.

"I love the poorly recruited basketball players."

RW Senior Year Mix Tape. He will need to get stronger, but it may be that he is just a late developer. If he is able to pack on some muscle I think he could be a very good player for us down the road.

Wrangor out of curiosity who are some under the radar players you loved that eventually met or didn't meet your expectations? Likewise any guys (highly ranked or otherwise) that you just hated the tape on?

Like it, but he needs to start using his right hand on easy right hand layups...
