Men's Golf

I would argue that playing any tournament on the east coast just a couple of days before a big team tourney on the west coast could lend itself to mental and physical fatigue. If school is out, I would have thought that the whole team would have gone on out to Oregon a week or so out just to acclimate to the time difference. Who knows why, but those two put up the two clunker rounds for the team. After finishing the fall so strong, Young has really not played well at all this spring. Perhaps he can get it going the next couple of days, but I am not holding my breath. Hopefully McBride can return to the form he showed in the regionals.

Because golf.

The lost on Monday in New York. That's plenty of time to recover.

I agree that Young has had a rough spring. Playing through it is the best chance he has to find it. Looks like the extra time at the Byron Nelson calmed Zalatoris down.

Man, I hope one of McBride and Young gets it together. We could be in great shape if so.

We are pretty much fucked unless we play the round of the tournament tomorrow.

Working on a DFL right now.
Disappointing. We have the talent to be better than this

Last three holes killed us. Went from just needing to play well tomorrow to needing the round of the tournament. Oh well. It's a young team. I expect a lot from them next year.

Well I am afraid you will be disappointed. Haas has not produced much and is ridding his name. We need a new coach

It looks like the pack is coming back to us. Only 5 shots out of a tie for 15th now. Course is playing very tough.

TCU shot +2 yesterday and are already +12 today through 9-12.

3 strokes out of 15th place. If Zalatoris, Womble, and Sterbinsky can play solid, and one of McBride/Young (hello McBride) can get it going, perhaps they have a chance to get to the 4th round. The downfall of Young is just baffling. He finished the fall as one of the best players in the nation. Now, he can't break 75.

I assume we shoot 284 today so we finish 22 over.

What't the consensus - that'll be about 4 shots out of 15th?

Or does someone have a different opinion?

Alabama with the disappointing front nine so that helps, they're out of it.
