NBA Off-season thread: Duncan and Garnett retire

The Clippers would not only have to move at least one starter (probably Redick) but also renounce their rights to virtually everyone else on the team to clear enough space to sign KD.

The answer is Justin Gray.

I was just imagining what it would be like for him to play with KD and I realized he's never played with any good wing that can create for themselves.

And that's why Harrison Barnes is a max guy. The drop-off from the 10th best wing to the 15th best wing is staggering.
 
A Durant / CP3 pick and roll would be unstoppable

Barnes is so stiff with the ball. He's played his whole career as the at-best third guard on his team and has never had to create anything. Maxing a 3-and-D guy is crazy.
 
HOF Bledsoe is the best wing CP ever played with. Probably the best big man too.
 
Barnes would be good if he wasn't so constantly overhyped and full of himself

He's a nice player but how the hell did he make the Olympic team?! And is on the verge of a max contract???

to be clear Noah's max with the Knicks would be $26mm in the first year, with a 7.5% raise every year for the next 3. He's probably getting a flat $18mm for 2 or 3 years total. The total deal will be tens of millions less than the max.

there are players like Conley and Batum who will get near max money when they aren't nearly as good as LBJ or Durant, but that's because LBJ and Durant are worth twice the max and there's nothing you can do about that in a capped league. it's always been like that.
