2016-17 Wake Forest Basketball Season

Psssst - there's a game tomorrow night.

....and Sunday as well.

Ok. I legitimately did not remember that. No way I'll be able to watch both games and the football game with the holiday.

Unconfirmed rumor.
But really, there seems to be a lack of interest in the basketball season starting on here. Maybe it's because of the election or the football team doing well. Or maybe it's just me.

Apologize if this has already been posted, but Ken Pom's pre-season rankings are out (he factors in returning players and transfers), and WF is up to #76 (WF finished last year at #118).

Even so, given the ridiculous depth of the ACC (12 teams rated in the top 51), Ken Pom's formula projects a 12-16 season for WF with a 6-12 conference record finishing 13th (Duke is projected to have the best ACC regular season record at 14-4).

WF is projected to beat Radford tomorrow by 16: 81-65.

Probably because most people recognize that our ceiling this year is 15-16 wins. What is there to get excited about? Especially coming off of a 2-17 season in the ACC last year.

Not saying it's not justified. Just an observation. The newness of Manning carried the excitement in his first year, and I think the 2015 recruiting class did to a certain extent last year (combined with our 2 supposedly best players being seniors). This year just seems kinda :noidea:.

I have enthusiasm. I just feel like we've already talked a lot about the team in the pre-season given the games in the Bahamas. No real data points since then, unless you went to the exhibition the other night.

I'd like to think there will be plenty to say during and after tomorrow night's game.

These are the correct answers. Our football season is far from over, as we're bowl eligible and could end up in a rather desirable bowl game. Also, the presidential election has likely consumed a lot of our attentions over past couple of weeks. Plus, we had some lengthy discussion leading up to, during, and after the Bahamas trip

Queuing up OWG real 'Muricans freakout in 3...2...1...

This old white guy wants them to add the Nigerian flag for Sunday Okeke.

 Why would foreign flags bother an old white guy? I don't think we're at war with any of those countries.

BTW, the flags represent these Deac men's team and women's team players:

14 Alex Sharp Guard 6-1 FR Melbourne, Australia Australian Institute of Sport
5 Clarisse Berranger Forward 6-3 GS Remiremont, France Universite de Limoges
44 Konstantinos Mitoglou Forward 6-10 255 JR Thessaloniki, Greece Aristoteleio College of Thessaloniki
41 Elisa Penna Forward 6-3 SO Bergamo, Italy ITC F. Foscari
25 Sam Japhet-Mathias Center 6-11 280 FR London, England City of London Academy

Great post and a great touch with these flags.
