I can't believe ESPN can't more in ad revenue for a decent college bball game than four hours of bowl coverage.

WTF? As of 1 hr ago USA Today has us playing Indiana (again!) in Quick Lane Bowl!!!.....:confused:

We accuse them of cheating and their season falls apart. You think there'd be more coverage of that.

Those big news outlets don't really have a clue. They just go down the conference lists and slot in teams.

Ad revenue is a function of anticipated ratings. There are like 10,000 college basketball games every year and only one bowl selection Sunday.

I mean, I guess they could show Marquette v. UGA on the flagship instead of the U.

Georgia was in Charlotte year before last. Turnout was okay, but nothing to write home about. It was cold as shit though. There are a lot of Georgia fans in Charlotte. I think it would be significantly less this year if the Dawgs were to return.

No one is driving up from Athens to watch Richt coach the Canes, but a Miami/Georgia might be intriguing.

That would be pretty good matchup for Belk from a tv standpoint, but I agree turnout probably wouldn't be great
 
USF to Birmingham Bowl. Navy to Armed Forces Bowl. Further evidence that Temple will go Military.
 
I'm really pumped about the OB. Noles have been playing well the last couple of weeks and I think it'll be a hell of a game. The fact that it also fucked over UL makes me happy as well.
