Totally Unofficial Soccer Transfer Thread (NWT)

Hope you had fun searching that one up. You still don't understand how the Scheiderlin and Sakho transfers are different though. Keep taking notes and you'll get there. Much love.

I do see how they're different, I was just bantering. el chupe had to come in and take your side being all reasonable like otherwise I think I could have gotten a good rise outta you.

I do think they are quite different situations, but still feel Liverpool will get decent money for Sakho, with Swansea now rumored to be entering the chase. Southampton has been mentioned, as well as a couple of other teams, those two have come from strong (albeit Liverpool) sources the past two days. I think he would be amazing at Sevilla with Sampaoli, was kind of hoping PSG might try to enter to get him back, or Nice, but read something the other day that the Galatasaray move was unlikely due to political unrest.

Bournemouth apparently looking into the possibility of taking John Terry on loan until the end of the season.

Steve McClaren is pleased to have brought David Nugent to Derby. The striker, 31, joined the club on a two-and-a-half year deal yesterday from Middlesbrough.

Posting this solely to state that Nuge will undoubtedly punch in the winner against Leicester in the FA cup.

Jovetic to Sevilla could be a great move, but he will probably break down, which is a bummer because that guy can play.

West Ham have made an improved bid in the region of £5million for Hull City's Robert Snodgrass, according to Sky sources.

I'd be ok with that too. His last presser when he completely lashed out, he called out Walsh and the board for dragging their feet. Moshiri seems willing to splash cash, but the board and spreadsheet sorters less so. Koeman seems completely able to diagnose what's wrong with Everton, but what's been missing is his ability to fix it. I tend to agree with him that it comes down to not having the right people to play his system.

I mostly like giving dv7 a hard time because he's like "psh what's 70 million for a french teenager, who cares about money? If you ain't overspending you ain't trying."

Yeah, I mean, that total for Martial is a ridiculous number, but I doubt they paid that much up front (probably closer to what Leroy Sane or Sterling -- comparable talents/potential -- went for) and if it does get to the max, it probably means they've won a couple leagues, champions league, cups, etc. and Martial has scored a bunch of goals. And he's surely on a lot less per week than, like, Alexis is on now and will be on in his next contract, or even what Angel Di Maria was on and is on now in Paris. But that's still a ton of money for a teenager. It will be interesting to see what Ousmane Dembele ends up going for when Dortmund inevitably sell him, or what someone like Kylian Mbappe goes for in the next couple of years, if they both continue on schedule. Anyway, I really like Martial, Depay, and Schneiderlin, thought those were decent buys for them. Memphis would be a good gamble absent any major red flag personal issues; I think good chemistry with the right team and manager could get him going again.

Any chance My Plymouth Argyle add any significant players ahead of our replay with Liverpool ?

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has been left angry with Dimitri Payet, who has told the Hammers he wants to leave.

However, Bilic inists the club does not want to sell the France international.

Bilic said: "Let's get serious. I have a situation with a player. It is Dimitri Payet. He wants to leave. We are not going to sell him.

"It started 10 days ago when the window started. I spoke to the club. I spoke to the chairmen. It's not a money issue. We gave him a new contract. I don't think he will go this window but it will be hard to keep him happy.

"This team, the staff, we gave him everything, we were always there for him. I feel let down. I feel angry. I expect from him to come back and to show commitment and determination to the team like the team has shown to him."

He added: "We have said hundreds of times we don't want to sell our best players. He's definitely our best player. That's why we gave him a long contract - and then a new contract four months later.

"I phoned him with that and he refused to play for us. I have a team to manage. He's probably been tapped up by some clubs or whatever. That is usual at this time of year.

"Until he changes his attitude, he is out of the team and he's not going to train with us - but we are not going to sell him, not whatsoever."
