Official '16-17 NBA Thread: not with a bang but a whimper

seems to me like the Kings must be in the market for a big now...

well shit they can have coleangelo too if they want

okafor/coleangelo/ilyasova for that 1st they just got

Man, Ainge must've just not wanted him. C's easily could've beaten that offer. Kinda bummed. Boogie in Boston would've been awesome. Anyways, lolz, Kings.

the stauskas trade is one of the funniest in recent memory

Sixers get:

Nik Stauskas
Carl Landry
Jason Thompson
2019 top-10-protected first-round pick
The right to swap two future first-round picks

Kings get:

The rights to Arturas Gudaitis and Luka Mitrovic
A future second-round pick

The 2019 Kings pick is unprotected. Outside of the Brooklyn picks it is the most valuable pick asset in the NBA.

haha i copied and pasted that from an early report of it back when it happened

it was just a big salary dump at the time, but jesus hinkie was awesome

jfc that kings salary dump trade to the 76ers is one of the worst trades in nba history

Meh. Since that trade the Kings have gone 57-82 and the Sixers have gone 31-107. All of the players involved are mediocre at best, and there is no reason to think anyone taken with any of the pics involved will be anything better than mediocre. It is all #assets that disappear like farts in the wind when they get converted to actual players.

Official '16-17 NBA Thread: yr the alley to my oop

You gotta admit all that process has resulted in only one sure fire stud and he's a huge injury risk.

let's just enjoy how bad the trade was and not turn this into another #process hottake fest

seriously, they added stauskas as a throw in in the salary dump and he's the same age and same player as the centerpiece of the boogie trade. i mean.... jfc

the 76ers got more for a salary dump than the kings got for boogie.... i mean

The ability to trade with the Kings twice is also a huge advantage as the Sixers get better.

don't know if this is true but seeing that the pistons made the same offer as the pels but with Drummond instead of Hield and they preferred Hield holy shit.
