I had no idea UMass was in the A10. Since I started at Wake, UMass made the tournament once. Winthrop has made it six times. That was the extent of my knowledge of the situation.

This past season, Winthrop raised Pat Kelsey's annual salary to $220K. UMASS will reportedly pay Kelsey between $800 and $900K per year. Good for Kelsey.

I can just tell you all from experience in the women's officiating pay we got back in the early 2000's in the Big South [Winthrop] to UMass [Atlantic 10] in that my check when I went to UMass had a comma in it. It was nowhere close to a comma at Winthrop. That tells you where they are in just TV dollars and revenue and those kinds of things have gone up exponentially in the year 2017.

That is some sort of an old big 12 thing. University of Missouri calls them selves MU, which is dumb and I never understood it. They should go with UTX and UTN.

It's from the old Big 8. KU, OU, NU, MU, CU, etc. All those schools do it.
