Seems strange, as I wouldn't think Vegas would have picked up Howard's contract anyway. I would think Mrazek would be one of the top 4 or 5 goalie targets for Vegas to grab, considering who is available. They could feel like Coreau is ready to move up from Grand Rapids, though. I figured Vegas would take Ouellet, but that was before Mrazek was made available.

He can be "incentivized" by teams to not draft particular player(s); he can draft a player that another team wants and then trade that player immediately. He's already done a protection deal: got a minor league prospect and a draft pick to not take certain players.

Rumor is that the redesign is to allow for better ad space on the front of the jerseys. Particularly on the front side of the shoulders.
