Chat Thread Smidger: RIP, internet acquaintance

and it's not even "call center reps are always good and helpful", because sure, I've been on the other end of that, too. (Like a year ago, T-Mobile fucked up my account three times in a week somehow, and the dude who finally cleared it all up was great, but the previous two were pretty terrible.) This doesn't sound like that, though. It sounds like Diggler has just been a dick to people who are otherwise trying to realistically explain the situation to him.

Speaking of parodies

Palma, in your opinion, is Despacito the song of summer, y/y?

No doubt. And its the first time in my life I've been ahead of a trend. Spanish music >> American music even if I don't know a single word they're saying. I've been falling down the Daddy Yankee youtube hole for years ever since Bailando.

My beef isn't with the song itself but there have been a ton of better raggaeton songs that never got US airplay.

BOGO chipotle if you go to savorwavs.com and pick some ingredients and listen to some sik beatz

I've worked customer service (not a call center) and it's amazing how dickish people can get over really ridiculous things.
That being said, I totally understand diggler's frustration and would probably do something similar (continue calling, because that's all you CAN do to affect your own situation). Sometimes it's hard to swallow the fact that you might have to just give up, especially when you're given information at another point in time that would lead you to believe there would be a relatively quick resolution to the situation.

Please trust me that I am generally not being a dick. I have been as nice as possible, but the fact that they all tell me that they will send an urgent request to the airport and someone will text me back, and then no one ever does, and then they have no option to escalate this is enormously frustrating.

I was a Dick to this one guy. I was as nice as possible to all of his predecessors.

I think the biggest problem is they keep saying they will text you back and don't. Obviously the call center guys didn't lose your bag and they can't physically find them. What they can do is follow through on what they said they would. I find that very frustrating.
