I'm not sure he was ever a Marxist, but he did vehemently oppose people making more than $1,000,000/year.

For over a decade, he carried a torch for Howard Dean. I think it could easily be said that no one on any Wake board ever supported any politician more than BKF supported Howard Dean. Then BKF threw Dean under the bus, ran over him, backed up over, and repeated this multiple times.

The only people BKF promoted more than Dean were Bob Knight and Carl Tacy. If you would have told me in early 2016, BKF would turn on Howard Dean, I would not have believed you.

Of course, it's massively more likely that someone will double Joe Di Maggio's 56 game hitting streak next year than anyone will ever reach BKF's level of hypocrisy. His obnoxious, repetitive position about millennials, their education and being handed their lives while he was given his big break by family is classic and telling. Then his support of HB2 because some pervert may see his granddaughter in bathroom while supporting Donald Trump who says it is a perk of his ownership of Miss Teen USA to see and talk to naked and half naked 13-17 yo pageant contestants as they change clothes.

As those who know me have heard, one of my favorite quips is, "you can't make the best shit up." You can't make up hypocrisy and dishonesty on those levels.

The people in Berkley got arrested, as they should have. If they do anything else, they should get arrested as well.

The guy in Dallas got killed. He was a US military veteran who refused help for his mental issues. It's sad. It's horrific. What he did was tragic and unmentionable, but he was a total loner.

That handout doesn't look real. Given that the tweet came from an unverified account and has since been deleted, it's probably not real.

Antifa/black bloc, to the extent that they are organized, are many things. Anti-Semitic they are not.

I've been called that slur before and it hasn't been from anybody on the radical left.

As a Richmonder, I fully expect Monument Avenue to be the next event. Richmond has an incredible opportunity to build an educational experience that can progress from the Lumpkin slave museum along Monument Avenue and ending at the Arthur Ashe monument. Tack on an hour and a half ride to Appomattox, and see the room the Civil War essentially ended in. Read the way the surrender took place, and the actions that took place afterward that resulted in possibly the only Civil War that has not been repeated multiple times. The story of Lee taking communion with a black man in Richmond days after he surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia is an event that has importance and should not be ignored or removed. Incorporate history and context with these locations, tell the story, and learn from it.

Everyone, JH is right, History teaches us that the best way to deal with Nazis is to talk about this issues, try to find common ground and work out solutions as if the Nazis were rational people with logical thought processes. Neville Chamberlain, by all accounts the greatest Prime Minister in the history of the British Empire, was able to, through honest discussions and negotiations, prevent WWII from happening (for like an extra 6 months). Next time the Nazis have a rally to which they bring bats, clubs, and brass knuckles, you should respond by brining some leagal pads and debate podiums. Chamberlain had a brief case so maybe bring one of those too.
 
 
But he was no part of those groups. that is dramatically different than travelling to participate with the group.

You can do it. But if you do, you are being totally wrong-headed. This was a guy who was mentally ill. His actions have nothing to do with any hate group or terrorist group or anything but him being a sick person.

Accepting what others say about him brings you to making that crazy, over-the-top MOW THEM DOWN statement. You are projecting to KILL people. You couldn't be more wrong in doing so.

Unlike some people, though, I can leave the board. I'm not addicted to posting every single day of my life like several people on these boards. Just recently, for example, I didn't post for five full weeks....from July 2nd until August 6th. We have several posters who are incapable of that. Tell you what, I'll offer a deal that will gtive you a chance to get rid of me forever: If either RJ or PH will go five weeks without making a post on these boards like I just did, I will leave the boards forever and never post here again.

Come on RJ & PH....show me that you are not addicted. I'm sure that lots of posters will be pulling for you....but after 140,000 posts I think both of you are addicted and it is impossible for you to go just five weeks without posting.
