I'd never advocate either of those things. If you're unhappy, do something meaningful about it. The only meaning this thread signifies is about the posters and board's overall incompetence and lack of real influence (and probably mine for even taking part in it).

If you wanted to be taken seriously the thread wouldn't have this title.

People like you are the reason Wellman was permitted to keep Bzdelick for 4 years, and then stay around to pick the next coach after that disastrous series of decisions, and then permitted to hire Manning, give him an unconscionable contract extension, and bring him back for year 6. Wellman deserves scorn and ridicule. So do his enablers. Fuck you and Wellman.

Alright well what’s more serious and meaningful than not giving money and not showing up to games? You say that’s disloyal so what are your recommendations for loyal, meaningful action?

Or is the whole point of this for you to laugh at fans because we don’t have the clout to make voices heard? That’s pretty lame
 
Yeah, for the record, I completely support anyone who doesn’t want to support our athletic program in any capacity. As was mentioned, we deserve some semblance of respectability if we, as fans, are to continue supporting what has happened over the past decade.

My opinion is that a FUCK YOU RON WELLMAN thread is amateur hour nonsense and does nothing but discredit the actual purpose and meaning behind everyone’s anger. I realize that these boards are a speak freely place, so I’m doing just that and don’t expect anyone to change the thread title to something that would reflect the thoughts of an adult.

Will the MODS do anything ? NAH !

If they are still writing checks, then they are not great fans. They are just as culpable as Wellman, Hatch, and you.

The reason "State School U" wins is because they understand that. You and the 500 or so losers (including any big donors still on board) still supporting Manning and Wellman, do not.

You can't keep trusting and financially supporting these failures.

This thread isn’t here to send a message to anyone at Wake, or to encourage changes to be made. This thread is here for all of us to vent our anger towards the douche that ruined Wake basketball. That’s it. He will never see it because he doesn’t care and hasn’t cared about the fan base in many years.

This thread is just the manifestation of an empty Joel except when we are playing an opponent who can fill up 60% of the capacity.

Its just a manifestation of an AD who fired a coach, provided ridiculous cover and sent Wake hoops into a decade of irrelevance.

Its just a manifestation of a secrecy that apparently allows the AD to bind us to a ridiculous extension for a coach that deserved a minimum extension only for recruiting purposes.

Any AD who dismisses how upset the fanbase is right now is a fool. We are his customers.

Let me rephrase it. Having a thread like this takes away the very little credibility of the opinions of those who post here. Like I said, a thread that objectively breaks down the decade mishandling of our basketball program would mean more than FUCK YOU RON WELLMAN. I agree with everyone here that he has mishandled the basketball program as a whole, the fans and all who support Wake Basketball.

I respectfully disagree that having a thread like this is remotely acceptable. He’s a man, with children and grandchildren and he loves Wake Forest. He just happened to fail at a hugely important aspect of his job - he didn’t kill anyone.

You guys have at it - I’ve given my opinion.
