That's the way Forbes likes it
He didn't shoot too many 3s. I'm not concerned about that. But agreed, that is a spot where he could improve.Staff knows best, but Sallis is a horrid three point shooter: 24% last season and for his career. Also, for a team that scores ton of points, Sallis does not. In 68 college games, he has scored in double figures 6 times. Realize Gonzaga is loaded, and he was a 5 star, but scoring does not appear to be his thing.
True but it's the one shot that may lure him back. That’s what he says publicly and it’s a nice thing to tell recruits. But he was planning on a greatly improved Bobi next year.
Not for next year, but if you build a track record top 50 guys and other underrated targets will eventually take notice.not much of a silver lining imo

But teams don’t need top 50 talent to make the tournament.
Wierd counterpoint.
Forbes wants a championship. Better talent. More talent. Better development of that talent matters. More wins equals Better talent. Better talent equals more wins.
Every win on the court and in recruiting builds on itself.
But to your point... ok.
Wonder if we would be interested
Personally I think we need to build more around defense. More like we saw in Game 2 vs Syracuse when Forbes figured out how to play them vs Game 1 when we had not a clue on either end. Plus figure out how to play with intensity. Last year in ACCT vs BC comes to mind when after struggling for 30 minutes, we finally get up 10 with six to play, then shit the bed. Or as LaRavia said “we lost focus.” What????Wierd counterpoint.

Guess you and Forbes can agree to disagree about goals.Championships? Don’t talk about - championships? You kidding me? Championships? I just hope we can win a make the tournament!
Don't disagree that defense shouldn't be a priority. That doesn't have anything to do with my post about talent.Personally I think we need to build more around defense. I disagree that not making the tournament with top 150 players is going to lead to winning championships with top 50 players.Guess you and Forbes can agree to disagree about goals.
I'm not going to be the guy arguing a silly point with you. My post was "better talent wins games and wining games gets better talent." You gotta work on both at the same time. But I'm OK that you find fault with that point.I disagree that not making the tournament with top 150 players is going to lead to winning championships with top 50 players.
