2023-24 Wake Forest Basketball Season - 21-14 (11-9) - KP#29 / NET#43

How do we keep getting these one and done players?

Hunter Sallis is a pro. Top-20 upside imo

It’s just nuts how quick Forbes re-ups in the portal.

Shhh… don’t let any NBA writers based in Australia find out.

Low 20s or so is about where Bobi seems to be in the mocks. Could have two first rounders in next year’s draft.

The amazing part is, these dudes are ones there would be no way for us to know about. They're buried on someone's bench somewhere waiting to be stars.

Exactly

And it’s not like they were bad either. ManMan and Sallis backed up NBA players

Sallis strikes me as a late first round pick right now. Will be interesting to see how his stock develops over the next few weeks/months. Maybe we get one more year

I think he might be able to morph into more of a Donovan Mitchell-style guard if he sticks around. Idk if he’ll ever get that chance on an nba playoff team

ETA: right now he’s more of a vassel type

impressed with the crowd at the Joel today. remember what those seats looked like for our first games? win and they will come.

when we were good, our home court advantage was something you'd hear about on every broadcast. good to hear it loud.

13-0 LJVM

Gonna need a bigger venue. ;)

We dropped 3 spots in the latest NET but Florida and UVA are 31 and 32. Both of those wins are now just a whisker away from being Quad 1 wins. Unfortunately, both of those teams are rivals for at-large bids so not all good news.

UVA is comfortably in the tourney right now and after Florida’s win yesterday they’re solidly in as well. Them getting to Q1 status is more important to Wake than hoping they fall far enough to be on the wrong side of the bubble

What’s the definitive RPI for quad 1 wins. As I read the NET rankings consider a Quad 1 win against a top 30 RPI team. While UF and UVA are almost top 30 NET teams they aren’t top 30 RPI.

I don’t think NET looks at RPI at all. I’ve never heard that.

I mean Sallis was a 5 star recruit and McDonalds All American. He didn’t live up to that at Gonzaga, but there were certainly people that knew who he was
