Basketball Recruiting Megathread 1.0 has run its course

I have been following Hargrave all year and Codi has been having a heck of a year. I think he will be a great one.

Dayum. I cannot wait.

When CMM first committed as a 2*, I remember some saying that he had plus athleticism, but he still looked a little on the thin side.

He looks fully developed in that picture. If all that mattered was the "look" test, CMM would be starting in the ACC right now.

Dude. That's so homoerotic of you to point out. Great shoulders!

Has his team been up against equal or better talent levels or is it blow out city each game?

I love how everyone, on his team and on the other team, is just kind of watching in awe.

The MLK tournament at the Greensboro Coliseum is coming up this Monday. Loaded field as usual.

Aaron Rountree plays at 1:00 against Wesleyan, which features Theo Pinson (arguably the top player in the 2014 class), JaQuel Richmond (2014 Wake target), and Montay Brandon (FSU commit). Great chance for Triad Deacs to check him out.

Pretty much every team in the field features legit D1 talent. Tyler Lewis and Oak Hill, arguably the best high school team in the country, play at 5:30.

Do Hargrave (CMM) and Oak Hill (Tyler Lewis) have an opportunity to play each other this year? (saw in schedule they had a scrimmage at start of year). Aren't both teams undefeated currently?

Dave Telep (Ral Sports Club) was real high on TL (in NCSU review) as the elite point guard NCSU has been missing for years. Also said TL comes in with a (good) 'chip' on his shoulder. Anyone think that 'chip' concerns WFU in any way? If not, what?

They could play in the ESPN challenge at the end of the year. ESPN tries to get the top 8 teams in the country to participate but some say no because their league will not let them play. Oak Hill played in it last year.

Let's go get some MORE GUARDS after the NCSU game today.

Some good news: http://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...bullis-62-57/2012/01/13/gIQAwmqaxP_story.html

With Savage ruled out due to a bacterial infection in his toe, Chappell poured in 25 points, including a crucial three-pointer late in the game that set up the late heroics of star forward Arnaud Adala Moto’(19 points, 20 rebounds) in No. 6 Episcopal’s 62-57 Interstate Athletic Conference win over No. 7 Bullis in Potomac.

Bullis tied the score at 55, and with one minute remaining Episcopal again went inside to Adala Moto, who had not scored since the first half.

This time, Adala Moto would not be denied. He turned to the baseline and went to the rim over three defenders for a layup to give Episcopal the lead.

Just more than 10 seconds later, a steal and feed set up Adala Moto’s fierce dunk on the break, and Episcopal was able to secure the win on the road. Adala Moto also had three blocks.

Like many have said, 2012 looks like a nice foundational class. We still need to pick up a star or two in 2013.

Hopefully it'll be a SG and a big. If a third scholarship opens up a combo PG would be nice.

Not Wake related, but '13 Beejay Anya is 6'8" and has a confirmed 7'9" wingspan. Longest in hoops history. Amazing.

Telep was tweeting that he is #37 in the top 100 and see him jumping to #17 at the lowest, kid is a freak. I wish we were recruiting him but with his offers I don't think we'd have a shot at getting him.

Maybe he'd like to keep playing weith his DeMatha teammate Lyles.
