I'm a little higher than most on this class probably but I think that SJM, Woods, and Washington have a chance to really help the team early in their careers. Regardless of how this class turns out, I think that WF has to go for solid 4*, top 100 players in 2017 & 2018 (somewhere in the #40-100ish range). I don't think that pursuing Giles & other 5* players was the only reason for missing out on a few 4* guys but it was definitely a big part in it as the coaches just didn't have the time to put in watching & talking to those guys. I'm not going to really fault them either, as I'd have put everything I've got into pursuing Giles as well. A superstar local talent with genuine interest in your school only comes along every so often.

We've seen how much this year's trio of freshmen have flashed great play and look to be the best three players on the team next season. WF probably cannot land a superstar player right now, but it can land solid players based on the impact that these freshmen have made. Show a big guy a tape of Moore at Monteverde last year, then tape of the BC game this season. Tell a guard about how much latitude that Crawford got this year to lead the team and grow as a player. It'll be tough with the recent struggles over multiple seasons, but between having the chance to play in the ACC and the success of these freshmen, focusing on solid 4* guys could/should pay dividends.

SJM plays in England so it's not surprising he may have dropped. I am impressed with the video I have seen of Mitchell regardless of rankings. I think manning is bringing in a sold class.

Is it a new video?

So we have a [Redacted] level recruiting class. Awesome!

ACC sports journal floated 6.5 Ryan Taylor of Marshall as a point forward grad possibility for Wake. Played at Hargrave with CMM and Washington under A.W. Hamilton.

Room for one more in 2016 class. Does Danny just hold it for 2017, or look for a grad student who could play starting in 2016 or look for a spring signee HSer to begin his four years in the fall of 2016?

My vote would be a SG/SF shooter grad student for next year and keep recruiting for 2017.

Hoping Manning doesn't decide to focus on '17 & opt to let Van Horn keep his scholly for his Sr. Year.

If he has any interest from any other P5 schools he isn't coming to Wake. We saw this multiple times last year.

Good at drawing fouls...36% shooter on limited 3-pt attempts. Good at 2's...just 66% though. WAKE FANS WILL COMPLAIN!!!!

All joking aside, he would be a good pickup for a year.

6 years after the Bzaster began and we still need post-grads. Thanks Wellman. That Taylor kid sounds good though, unless we can get a top-rated freshman.

Louisville would have been shit this year without post-grads. The Marshall kid sounds like he would be a perfect fit, so I am sure it won't happen.

Looks to be a complete player. Good size, good enough shooting and the ability to rebound. If he is even an average defensive player then he'd be a hell of a grad option.

What's worse, being led on by top ranked recruits like 2016 or not being on anyone's list for 2017?

really hope we can avoid losing any of the frosh

Samesies. I think Crawford is safe and Collins to a certain extent, too. I'm most worried about Moore. I would not be happy about my playing time situation if I was him. I know that he should see a huge increase in minutes next year, so I hope he has really bought in to the program.

I don't think Doral is going to leave over playing time. Unlike most college players, he was not a big minutes guy in HS. He is playing behind a senior who is averaging a double-double. He seems to have some stamina issues, thus notable to play for long stretches. Doral has to know this. Manning seems to be managing that issue well. So I would not expect him to leave for playing time. He has developed a nice little hook shot. I suspect working with Danny had something to do with that. If he has aspirations of the NBA, why not stay and work with and play against the best the college game has to offer?

Does anyone know anything about the "assist high school all star basketball game"? Richard Washington is playing in it

Most unselfish all-star game ever?
