BBall Recruiting Thread 2k18 - Hoard, Mucius, Lewis, and Wright sign NLIs!

It's a damn all star game. To take that many shots in a short period isn't about percentage or playing in a scheme. It's about fun.

Well if the defernders were also "just having fun" and he still missed all those shots, how bad would he shoot when they get serious? Cuts both ways RJ

It's not the same. No one takes things seriously. You jack shots up you'd never take any other time.

What if Melo decided to get serious? How much better would he shoot, huh? What if he was serious but only the 2 in a 2-3 zone were serious?

He doesn't get serious. That is why they call him Mellow Yellow

Plenty of great competitive athletes are not particularly serious - James Harden and John Collins come to mine. Neither gets particular angry or upset on court which comes off as "mellow." Collins got frustrated when in foul trouble but overall, showed a very cool style on the court.

That said, for every Harden there's a Dwight Howard. It CAN be a benefit in a competitive environment if it allows the athlete to stay focused on the task at hand (winning, pressing advantages). Generally speaking, no moment is ever too big for a mellow athlete. The challenge is keeping their motor high. The flip side is Devin Thomas who we struggled to keep focused because he was often distracted by his own motor/emotions.

Nice. And we have confirmation that he can dunk. There were barely any dunks in his other mixtapes.

The hits keep coming for Chaundee

Sarr just followed Manning and Childress along with some players on twitter. Makes you wonder!
