Chicago Cubs Thread - Playoff Push Pending

The same Blanton who has yielded 7 rbis this series? Yeah, I like that.

If Rich Hill beats the defending Cy Young winner twice in a row then kudos to the Dodgers. I think we will have a much better plan of attack against Hill's curveballs after seeing him already this series should it get to game 7.

No, but their bullpen leads all of baseball in "rbis yielded."

Yeah, there are legit reasons to fear the Indians, of course. What the Cavs did means jack

To clarify, just jacking up Doofus for referencing a stat with which I am not familiar.

Jobu is real.

Any Chicago residents willing to host me for a night or two this weekend?

Any non-Chicago residents want to go in on an Airbnb or hotel this weekend?

Please DM!!!!!! Go Cubs

Does Bartman get to throw out the first pitch?

He really should. I imagine he would turn down the offer but I hope it's extended.

And that no morons boo him if he does decide to

Yeah, I am sure that a guy in hiding the last 13 years would love the chance to throw out the first pitch in Wrigley. That will work out great for him if the Cubs lose the game or Series. The Cubs aren't offering, nor should they. For the team's, fans' and Bartman's sake, the guy should be left alone.

Joe West on the crew umpiring the world series. WTF? Really? This will be miserable for whatever game(s) he is behind the plate for.

Guess they saw something yesterday - he looked really slow running. So, I'm guessing, walks/singles/dingdongs are all he will hit, then be a clogger on the bases. Still an upgrade over Cogs as a LH bat. And all the Indians pitchers are righties, so Soler was going to have a rough go.

Also, shocked at Lester over Arrieta - Jake will have a loooong time between starts.

Lester has been too good. We've gotta throw our best vs. Kluber

Fowler, Bryant, Rizzo, Zobrist, Schwarber, Baez, Coghlan, Russell, Ross.

Heard today that when Dexter Fowler leads off tonight, he will be the first African American to appear in a World Series game for the Cubs as their other 9 W-S appearances occurred before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in baseball.

I am really torn in this series, I like both teams. The deciding factor for me will be the fact that the Cubs have not won the series since 1908 so I would like to see them end that streak.
