Do you mean for the University to pay the players with the money from the same people that run the collective? It's hard to gauge the long term feasibility of a system that requires fans pay to support players, but not care when those players leave, so they donate to support new players. Of course, the other option would be for the university to just pay all of them but that's crazy talk.
This is a symptom of us having possibly the worst beat reporters in the power 6. Judging from Jerseys I saw this year at the Joel, Monsanto was the most popular player, and none of our beat reporters asked any simple follow up questions as to his status or remotely tried to dig into the particulars. Embarrassing. We also did not know that Nick Kurtz, a projected top 5 draft pick, was injured for 3 to 4 weeks until it was reported by an ACCNX broadcaster.Would assume we won't get any questions asked about it as well.
You’re so smart. I wish I were as all knowing as youAre these dots hard for you to connect?
So, in case this fact-pattern is too complicated to dicipher:
- March 2nd: Monsanto is a DNP against VT after playing the previous 11 games
- March 5: Monsanto is a DNP against GT
- March 9 (senior day): Monsanto leaves LJVM before the game on senior day and sends a thank you twitter to fans
- March 13-14 (ACC Tournament): Monsanto doesn't travel with the team for the ACCT
- March 18: Monsanto enters the transfer portal
- After not playing in two games, Damari Monsanto left the team on or before March 9th.
- Damari Monsanto will not play for WF again
- Damari Monsanto is, at least, leaving open the possibility of playing for another school in 2024-5.

I don't blame Conor, he's actually a trained journalist. I like him, and know he's busy on the Duke beat plus since he's not a mouthpiece for the AD, he doesn't have much advance information that I've seen. But Les is just a sycophant for the AD who simply parrots positive talking points and refuses to engage in debate. And then the other people are either in college or high school.

Kurtz was injured for 3 to 4 weeks? or is going to be out 3 to 4 weeks? We also did not know that Nick Kurtz, a projected top 5 draft pick, was injured for 3 to 4 weeks until it was reported by an ACCNX broadcaster.
weird atl would know that after it was announced in a game after he stopped watching this year's baseball team.Kurtz was injured for 3 to 4 weeks? or is going to be out 3 to 4 weeks?
I think it could just be general frustration at his injury/playing time. He thinks he's healthy/conditioned enough to play more, Forbes disagrees, they argue about it.I'm sorry to even speculate on such....But, if I had to guess, jealousy over money would be towards the top of my list for what went wrong.
Again, I'm not claiming that to be the case. Just my opinion/guess...
No. With the TV, CFP, and NCAA money.Do you mean for the University to pay the players with the money from the same people that run the collective?
I actually assume he was possibly our highest NIL earner. We managed to keep him from taking Carolina NIL, which I assume was part money, part loyalty. I love Damari. I’m sorry that he’s gone. I wish him the very best. I also hate calling college kids in high pressure situations, especially those who’ve had two horrific injuries and a sister tragically die, “headcases.” I also wish Wake sports had actual unbiased media, but it’s going to take an independently wealthy, fantastic journalist.I'm sorry to even speculate on such....But, if I had to guess, jealousy over money would be towards the top of my list for what went wrong.

Why not both dot gifi'll go out on a limb and say whatever team gets monsanto with NIL will know whether it was an "injury" or a pissing contest
ergo more than what "we need to know"
Who would be the Uncle Dennis figure in our scenario? This feels a lot like Kawhi Leonard with the Spurs. Just a little less weird.
