Dan Collins: My Final Take

I can't recall the circumstances, but folks on this board or the other board were beating him up for being soft on name redacted, and all of a sudden he shows up and starts defending himself. Did I dream this up?
 
No one trusted Dan Collins 25 years ago. He was a UNC grad covering Wake. Time has a way of revealing all. Collins was a winner. Even if he wasn't rooting for Wake early, he was a professional and did his job in a classy way. We grew to trust him. Somewhere along the way he became one of us. Now we trust him way more than we do our own pathetic, lying Athletic Director.

Thanks Dan, and enjoy retirement.
 
I just learned who Dan's replacement is and we will be VERY happy with his personality and coverage !!!
