5 people killed in Gaza as aid package parachute fails to deploy, officials and witness say

Officials from Gaza's Hamas-run Ministry of Health and an eyewitness told CBS News that five people were killed Friday by an aid airdrop package when at least one parachute failed to properly deploy and a parcel fell on them. The people were in the Al-Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza, and the incident occurred at around 11:30 a.m. local time (4:30 a.m. Eastern).

CBS News was told there were two boys among the five people killed and that 11 others were injured in the incident. The exact ages of the casualties were not clear, but those injured were said to be between 30 and 50 years old.

Building a pier to deliver aid to Gaza is beyond fucking stupid.

If we had balls we would refuse to stop funding and aiding Isreal's genocide until they allow aid to flow freely from the 12 entry points into Gaza that are already established.

This pier is nothing more than an empty atempt to act like this adminstration is trying to do something for Gazans. It is going to cost a fortune, put our troops directly in harms way, and risk pulling our forces onto the ground all because nobody has the balls to stand up to Isreali war crimes.

Also you can bet the IDF will still take and prevent critical aid coming from the "port" post it's completion.

This also doesn't mean Trump won't be worse, it means we need a viable democratic option to vote for that isn't owned by AIPAC
