Jeff [Redacted] Wikipedia

He looks like a character out of an 80's movie in those shots. I wish we could be celebrating this stuff as we're celebrating our rise to national prominence.... but no.

On April 13, 2010, [Redacted] was hired as the 21st head men's basketball coach at Wake Forest University. To date Jeff [Redacted] has compiled a 24-46 record, including a 5-27 record among ACC competition. [Redacted]'s teams are known for being statistically poor in every significant category but most especially in rebounding and defense. During his brief tenure at Wake Forest, Jeff [Redacted] has overseen the transfer of seven players out of the basketball program. As of this entry, Jeff [Redacted] has yet to defeat any of Wake Forest's in-state rivals of North Carolina State University, Duke University, or the University of North Carolina. Jeff [Redacted]'s Wake Forest teams have not won any games in the ACC tournament and have not been invited to any national postseason tournaments. Jeff [Redacted] has lost more games to teams ranked in the bottom 150 of Division 1 College Basketball than any other Wake Forest coach.

Before the AD gets his hands on it.

"On April 13, 2010, [Redacted] was hired by his buddy Ron Wellman as the 21st head men's basketball coach at Wake Forest University. He replaced Dino Gaudio, who was fired after only three winning seasons. Wake Forest finished 8-24 (1-15) in [Redacted]'s first season in control of the program, including a 81-67 loss in the ACC Tournament to wrap up the season. The 24 losses are the most of any ACC men's basketball team in the history of the conference.
Though he will likely go down as the worst coach in Wake Forest basketball history, Deacon fans can take solace in knowing he runs a great practice, knows x's and o's, and personally makes sure each player wears their socks appropriately.
[Redacted] is well known for recruiting scrappy gym rats, most of whom are rated 2* by the major recruiting services. In addition to teaching proper sock wearing, [Redacted] is legendary for his master classes on shoe tying and how to tuck in a basketball uniform. AD "Premier" Ron Wellman fiercely supports [Redacted] in these teaching endeavors, often appearing on Wake Forest radio after each game commenting on the improvement he has noticed in Wake Forest basketball players properly lacing their shoes, wearing their socks, and tucking in their uniforms. Evidence of improvement in actual basketball play has been scant, but the enhanced focus on uniform fundamentals have quickly made [Redacted] a "fan-favorite" at Wake Forest. [Redacted] is not without his critics among the Wake Forest fanbase. A small but vocal section of fans have undertaken a #BuzzOut movement. For reasons known only to the BuzzOuters, they remain unhappy with [Redacted]'s poor record--both throughout his career and at Wake Forest--lack of evidence of coaching, and sadsack demeanor. These critics remain unswayed by [Redacted]'s unsurpassed mastery of sock wearing.
Clearly what Wake Forest alumni and fans think does not matter, however. Premier Wellman has indicated [Redacted] will be Wake Forest's coach for life, and said in an interview with Wake Forest State Radio last week that even after [Redacted] passes away in an estimated 75-100 years, he will remain eternal coach at Wake Forest. Due to several players already leaving or being suspended before the season even starts (JT Terrel, Ari Stewart, and Tony Woods), Jeff [Redacted] already has many excuses that he has used for another below .500 season.
This is however, all part of his and Premiere Wellman's plan for changing the culture of Wake Forest basketball for the "better." Jeff [Redacted] recently expressed that culture towards a Miami fan at a Wake/Miami game by shouting curse words towards him in front of women and children in the stands. His frothing appearance as he yelled expletives at the defenseless Miami fan was very startling to the hapless Miami elders there to watch a good clean basketball game. Apparently the culture change is simply directed towards the players and former coach Dino Gaudio, not Jeff [Redacted] and Ron Wellman. Jeff [Redacted] has 1 NCAA tournament appearance in 8 years of collegiate coaching."

My personal favorite wikipedia entry. Shout out to RJkarlthegreat for the fantastic editing skills.

Further proof that the proper hashtag for all anti-[Redacted] sentiment on Twitter should be #BuzzOUT!

How is it his ties 25 years ago looked more contemporary than the ones he wears today? (nothing wrong with solid colors Bz!)

Also, he looks like he's 14 in those pictures.

Vt's chart needs to make Wikipedia with a description of The [Redacted] Zone. I would do it, but don't know how

Has anyone ever seen any player on our team do any of the following things Coach [Redacted] teaches in his video:

"with Jeff [Redacted], University of Colorado Head Coach, former Head Coach for the Denver Nuggets (NBA), and former assistant coach under Pat Riley Help your team compete with bigger, more talented teams! Jeff [Redacted] builds his match-up zone from the ground up including everything from proper defensive stance to defensive rebounding technique. Coach [Redacted] utilizes basic man-to-man principles and responsibilities to shape his stifling match-up zone defense. Beginning with proper stance, [Redacted] reveals a number of techniques you can use to neutralize quicker opponents. [Redacted] demonstrates a cushion technique to improve positioning, a "catch the move" technique to stop dribble penetration, he describes how banana cuts can contain quick ball handlers and his red technique for fronting the low post. [Redacted] explains the four general rules of his match-up zone involving guarding the ball, contesting shots, contesting passes, and utilizing the talking, touching and switching technique on ball screens. He shows you how to use the match-up zone to defend the corner cut, shuffle cut and the pick and roll, as he has players defend three of the games most popular set plays. [Redacted] also includes his preferred method of defending a great post player with his aggressive trap defense. In addition, [Redacted] describes three key principles for eliminating easy baskets in defensive transition. And includes "effort grading" as a way to breakdown every defensive possession and increase player accountability. Give your team the tools it needs to take on any opponent this season using the match-up zone defense! 76 minutes. 2009. Produced at the Fall 2009 Cleveland, OH clinic"?

Now it says there are 19, somebody probably watched the first three minutes, realized they knew how to put socks on already, and returned it.

So, in other words, Amazon bought 20 of them 5 years ago. Some junior assistant buyer is probably getting a tongue lashing as I type.

It's not eligible for Amazon Prime. I'll pass.

Where are the reviews people? Very disappointing.

Also, somehow they're down to 11.
