Ken Pomery/Tennessee Rank Question (NWT)

Michigan State might be slightly underrated on KP because of the injuries they had throughout the season.
Yeah, I think that was a clear one. Kentucky's is likely attributable to them having the talent and showing it in the SEC Tourney, as well as being a public team. Potentially peaking at right time.

Cuse also with home court advantage in Buffalo.

Tennessee is going to officially be elite if they can win this close game.

Meh I take it back, they're gonna win by double digits. If they had made the last shot in regulation instead of forcing overtime where they dominated though...ELITE.

What are Tennessee's rebounding numbers for the season? They looked really good on the boards last night. Those bigs (Stokes esp) have such good hands. They were so aggressive going after the ball.

Horrible coaching by McCaffery. It was quite obvious Stokes couldn't cover Woodbury. He should have gotten the ball every time down the court in the last eight minutes.

Well, given what was on his mind, it's understandable. Tough time for all of them.

That's why he has assistants. Plus he made many decisions during the game. This was the easiest and most obvious decision he should have made. Every time Woodbury touched the ball he got an easy shot. He set a career scoring mark and was shooting something like 8-10 .

5th in offensive percentage, 14th in defensive percentage. They're an elite rebounding team.

Now the 9th best team in the country. I think RJ has to agree with that after showing they can win close games. In all seriousness though they're a tough tough out for Duke. I have them in the Sweet Sixteen (now watch Umass upset them)

They barely beat a team that has lost 7 of its last 8. If not for bad coaching by Iowa, they would have lost last night. They did get an absolute dream draw.

Lol. Tennessee did not get a dream draw.

Forget KenPom, they're a top 20 team in almost any metric except for human polls and ended up in a play in game against a team in the top 30 of every metric except human polls. Meanwhile Dayton and Colorado barely sniff the top 50 and didn't have a first round game at all.

RJ has set this up perfectly - if Tennessee loses its because they don't belong to be in the tournament. If they win, its because they got a dream draw.

Either way he is right.

Seriously. A team in the First Four with a dream draw. I agree that UMass is a weak #6, but playing Duke on Sunday in Raleigh is not a dream.

Shit. This may have been posted elsewhere; sorry if it a Haas.

Jeff Goodman - Fran McCaffery statement: "We received word from doctors the tumor that was removed during our son Patrick’s surgery Wednesday is malignant.

And maybe Tennessee is going to the Elite 8.

So every game Tennessee plays is pretty much either a nailbiting loss in OT or a complete beatdown, huh.

Tennessee going to the sweet 16. Winners win, right RJ?

Tennessee is really fucking good. They would have demolished Duke, too.
